About
The Sri Lanka Anti-Corruption Program (ACP) is a USAID funded project being implemented by ARD Inc. The ACP is structured to address three key objectives, or pillars:
1. Increase the efficiency and quality of work performed by the Auditor General’s Department and the Bribery Commission through targeted training and technical assistance.
2. Apply ‘best practice’ techniques for citizen and civil society monitoring of governmental activities and projects as a means to achieve greater transparency and accountability.
3. Increase public awareness, facilitate communications, and build a coalition of interested parties (public sector, private sector and NGOs) to combat corruption.
Under Pillar 3, the ACP has initiated many programs aimed at building a coalition of actors, made up of Sri Lankan professional organizations, religious leaders, academics, educationits etc., and in raising public awareness on corruption. This blog has been initiated to create a space for dialogue on corruption, anti-corruption initiatives, and project activities.
